Product Description
Steel Structure Chicken House for Broiler and Layer | ShunYao
Product Overview

A steel structure house for broiler or layer chickens, sized for the flock you keep and the climate at your site. Columns, beams and purlins are fabricated in our workshop and bolted together on site. The frame carries roof and wall panels that keep the house warm in winter and ventilated in summer.

Steel Grades

The frame uses H-section steel to the grade your project specifies. Chinese and European grades match as follows:

  • Q355 = S355JR (EN 10025), HP-series sections to EN 10034
  • Q235 = S235JR (EN 10025)
  • S275JR also available

For projects drawn to European standards, we supply EN 10025 / EN 10034 H beams with mill certificates. For domestic or other markets, GB grades Q235 and Q355 apply. Tell us your standard when you ask for a quote.

Structure Components
  • Columns and rafters: welded or hot-rolled H-section steel
  • Tie beams: round or square tube
  • X bracing: round steel bar or angle steel
  • Sag rods: round bar, angle or C purlin
  • Purlins and girts: cold-formed C or Z sections, Q235 or Q355
  • Surface: shot blasting with anti-rust primer and rich-zinc epoxy paint, or hot-dip galvanizing for humid regions
Steel structure chicken house construction and design
Roof, Walls and Insulation

Single corrugated steel sheet (0.12-1.2 mm) or sandwich panels — EPS, rock wool, glass fiber or PU core, 50-200 mm thick. For chicken houses, rock wool or PU panels cut heating and cooling cost, and the same panels keep the house quiet. Ventilation fittings and skylight belts are fitted where the plan calls for them.

Doors and Windows
  • Main doors: electric roller shutter or sliding door
  • Exit doors: plastic-steel or aluminum swing doors
  • Windows: plastic-steel or aluminum frames, sliding, vent or top-hung type
  • Gutters: heavy-duty galvanized steel. Downpipes: PVC
Service Life and Maintenance

The frame is designed for a service life of 50+ years. Galvanized or painted surfaces slow rust in the ammonia-heavy air of a poultry house, and panels are replaceable if one is damaged. Third-party inspection by SGS, QIMA or BV is accepted before shipment.

Quotation Requirements

To prepare drawings and a price, send us:

  1. House dimensions — length × width × eave height in metres
  2. Layout — rows of cages or floor pens, and service aisles
  3. Flock type and capacity — broiler or layer, and target bird count
  4. Location — country, city, and whether the site is near the coast
  5. Wind and snow loads at the site
  6. Steel standard — EN 10025 (S355JR) or GB (Q355)
  7. Cladding — corrugated sheet or sandwich panel, and color

No drawings? Our engineer drafts the layout from these points. Design is free.

Main steel frame loads in 40ft open-top containers; roof and wall panels load in 40ft high-cube containers. Frames are palletized and strapped, panels film-wrapped, fixings boxed. Lead time is 30-60 days from approved drawings.
