During the construction and operation of heavy steel industrial plants, on-site management teams require an operational space that can be deployed rapidly without compromising on durability. Given the complex industrial environment in Xichang, this site office project faced several specific engineering challenges:
Acoustic & Thermal Demands: Located adjacent to a heavy manufacturing zone, the building required superior sound insulation and thermal regulation to maintain an efficient working environment for site engineers.
Structural Integrity & Seismic Resistance: As the on-site command center, the structure needed high wind-load and seismic-resistance capacities, aligning with the extended lifecycle of the primary industrial plant behind it.
Space Optimization: The layout needed to maximize a compact 67.5 sqm footprint, accommodating dedicated workspaces, meeting areas, and logical traffic flow without wasted space.
The Shunyao Supply Chain engineering team implemented a "standardized design + hybrid construction" approach, combining the rapid erection of industrial steel framing with the physical advantages of traditional masonry:
Phase 1: Precision Layout & Spatial Planning Based on site assessments, we engineered a 1:1 architectural floor plan. The 9.0m x 7.5m footprint was divided strictly according to functional requirements, with precise structural nodes and fenestration openings pre-calculated to ensure optimal natural light and ventilation.
Phase 2: Steel Framework Erection To bypass the lengthy construction cycles of pure brick-and-mortar buildings, we erected a high-strength steel skeleton on the cured concrete foundation. The robust steel columns and beams not only accelerated the roofing schedule but significantly enhanced the building's overall seismic redundancy.
Phase 3: High Thermal Mass Masonry Infill Within the steel framework, high-density red bricks were utilized for the wall system. In this application, the masonry acts as an excellent thermal mass and acoustic barrier, effectively neutralizing noise interference and temperature fluctuations typical of an industrial site.
Phase 4: Turnkey Industrial Finishing The exterior received a standardized, flat-troweled cement finish in an industrial grey, visually integrating with the heavy steel main plant. The installation of dark aluminum double-glazed windows and localized HVAC units marked the completion of this turnkey project.
The site office was delivered on schedule and is currently operating at full capacity. It functions as the stable "brain" for the adjacent large-scale plant, serving as a textbook demonstration of Shunyao Supply Chain's Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for project node control and on-site material dispatch.
Standardized Engineering for Global Export: Whether constructing ancillary facilities in Xichang or exporting modular steel buildings to the Middle East, South Asia, or the Americas, Sichuan Shunyao Supply Chain Management Co., Ltd. focuses strictly on solving engineering pain points. We deliver more than just premium steel components (H-beams, C/Z purlins, roofing sheets); we provide end-to-end technical solutions, encompassing detailed shop drawings, cross-border logistics, and on-site assembly guidance.
